JANUARY 18, 2017 – The Lower Merion Library System is pleased to announce the availability of mobile printing.  With this new service, users will be able to send print jobs to the public printer at 4 of our libraries from laptops, smartphones, or tablets from almost anywhere.  This service is currently available at these libraries: Ardmore, Bala Cynwyd, Ludington, and Penn Wynne.  It costs the same fee as printing from a public PC at the library:

Print Costs:
Black and White Jobs:  Letter – $0.15/page; Legal – $0.30/page; Ledger – $0.30/page
Color Jobs: Letter – $0.50/page; Legal – $1.00/page; Ledger – $1.00/page

There are 3 different ways to send a print out to your library:

How to print from a laptop or desktop computer at home or work:

  1. Begin by visiting  the PrinterOn page for the library where you wish to pick up your printout.
  1. In the first column, select the print size/color/black&white. Enter your email address in the second column.
  2. In the third column, browse your computer to find and select the file you wish to print.  You can also print a full webpage by supplying the URL.
  3. Click the green print icon (you will see the status of your print job – ignore the reference number).
  4. At the Print Release Station in the library, locate your print job in the queue and press “Print”.
  5. When prompted, choose “Pay From a Vending Device”
  6. Insert your money into the coin box and your job will print.

How to print from tablet or smartphone app

Getting started:
1.Visit your device’s ‘store’ for apps, install and launch the PrinterOn App.
2. Click “No printer selected”
3.Click “Search”. Search for the library where you will pick up your print-out, eg., Ludington Library
4. Find the appropriate library and select the printer and save.

To print:
1. Documents: when viewing the document, click in the upper right corner and upload the document to the PrinterOn App.
2. Photos: open the app, click on “photo” and select a photo to print. Select the printer and click the print icon.
4. Enter an email address and click on the check mark (you will receive a notice that the job started, and shortly after another message stating “Job Success”).
5. At the Print Release Station in the library, locate your print job in the queue and press “Print”.
6. When prompted, choose “Pay From a Vending Device”
7. Insert your money into the coin box and your job will print.
