Cooking With Your Garden

"Cooking With Your Garden" focuses on easy-to-grow vegetables for inclusion in quick and healthy meals.  In addition to discussing the health and environmental benefits of consuming in-season produce, mini-demonstrations may provide participants with the opportunity to assist in the preparation of specially selected recipes.  The presentation focuses on herbs and produce which require minimal care and can be grown in traditional gardens, raised beds, or in containers for those with limited space.  The presentation will also provide information on harvesting…

The History of the Merion Friends Meeting

Learn the history of this piece of real estate, the epicenter of Lower Merion's past and present.  For more than 320 years it has been an enclave for people seeking religious freedom to call home.  Jerry Francis, President of the Lower Merion Historical Society will give an interactive PowerPoint presentation of more than 95 historical images showing the evolution of this site; from a Lenape village, to the arrival of William Penn, to today's God's Corner.

Art Goes to School

The Art Goes to School program brings art education into elementary classrooms across the area.  Presenters have agreed to educate and inspire adults to see what our students are learning.  Parents who would like to attend this program may register their children for an art class being conducted while the attend the lecture.  Children must be at least 6 years old to attend art class.  Registration is required, please call or stop by the Junior Room to sign up!
