ANNUAL FUND GIVING – Support Your Local Library

LMLS uses JustGive.org to manage online donations for our annual library fundraising appeals.   JustGive.org is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to connect you with the charities and causes you care about and to increase overall giving.

Click on a link below to donate to a specific Lower Merion library, or to the Lower Merion Library Foundation.  A new browser or tab will open.  If this is your first time donating through JustGive, you will be asked to create an account.

Capital Campaign

The Lower Merion Library Foundation has undertaken a $5 million capital campaign seeking private support from library users, friends and neighbors to supplement a significant investment by the Township in these important projects. Learn more about the proposed improvements and how you can participate in Building for the Future via our Capital Campaign page.

Annual Giving

Our doors stay open through the generous giving of Lower Merion Township residents. Each library in the system conducts an Annual Fundraising campaign and your tax-deductible contributions enable us to extend our collections, services and programs. Contact your local library for details.

Memorial Gifts

The Lower Merion Library System invites you to honor an event, an achievement, or the memory of someone special. You may give monetary donations for the collection, and library staff will work with you to select appropriate titles to both honor someone and meet the library’s collection needs. Proper acknowledgement will be sent, and a book plate will be displayed in the titles selected.

Planned Gifts & Bequests

When planning your estate, consider leaving a gift in your will or living trust for the nonprofit and charitable organizations (like the library) that made a difference in your life. There are a variety of ways you can make a charitable planned gift. Your estate attorney, accountant, or other financial advisor can provide you with more details on the types of gifts and the tangible benefits they offer. Imagine the positive impact on our community if everyone made a donation to a favorite nonprofit.

Matching Gifts

Corporate matching gifts are a great way for you to significantly increase the impact of your gifts. By taking advantage of a company’s matching gift benefit, you may be able to double or even triple the amount of a contribution. Ask your employer if your company has a matching gift program.

Donation of Books

Gifts of books, videos, DVDs, and audio materials are accepted if they are in good condition and of high popular appeal. Damaged, damp or musty materials are not accepted. Donated materials become the property of the library and are accepted with the understanding that items useful to the library’s collection may be added, and other items may be disposed of through book sales or otherwise. The libraries cannot appraise used materials for tax purposes, but will provide a receipt without attaching value, on request. Please check with your local library for any special restrictions that may apply.[/vc_column_text]
